今回は、授賞式冒頭部分に機会を頂いた、代表研究員（生徒）による受賞挨拶をご紹介します。

代表研究員①：英語のご挨拶

Hello everyone! I’m extremely glad to be meeting you today, and I’d like to thank the organisers for the opportunity to speak here.

Our communities are diverse, just like the ALTs who are here today. Around 40% of our students are either not Japanese or have a non-Japanese parent. Even though I am Japanese, immersing myself in this community is an incredible and precious experience. The UNESCO Constitution says: “[…] ignorance of each other’s ways and lives has been a common cause, throughout the history of mankind, of that suspicion and mistrust between the peoples of the world through which their differences have all too often broken into war[.]”

Our project aims to ensure no one is left behind, a central goal of the SDGs. We hope our little community can help resolve humanity’s most challenging problems.

代表研究員②：日本語のご挨拶

ごきげんよう。

この度は、このような素晴らしい賞をいただき、また盛大な授賞式を催してくださり、誠にありがとうございます。僭越ながら、暁星国際学園一同を代表して心より感謝申し上げます。

私たち中高生には、まだまだ見えていないことや、理解が及ばないことが多くあります。その不安感が不満や否定に変わり、時に衝突を生むという現実を、私たちは学校生活・寮生活を通して日々痛感し、悩み苦しんできました。

しかし、人の温かさに触れ、自分とは異なる考え方や立場の方々やと出会い、対話を重ねる中で、私たちの視座は経験と学びによって大きく広がり、変容することを、ここ木更津の地で深く学んでいます。自分が変われば、世界が変わっていくのです。この学びが、世界中の多くの困難な問題を解決する基盤となっていくと、信じています。

今回、私たちの「文明と天災」プロジェクトがこのような評価をいただいたことは、私たちが研究を続け、磨き、また未来へとつなげていく大きな力となります。

私たちは大変幸運なことに、今日このお祝いの席に列席させていただいております。しかし、ここにたどり着くまでに、先輩方、先生方、保護者の皆様、そして私たちの活動を支援してくださる本当に多くの方々が手を取り合い、道を切り拓いてくださいました。

先人たちの叡智を胸に、そして私たちが切り拓く未来への希望を抱き、深い感謝を込めて挨拶とさせていただきます。
